My nutritionist says the whole net carb thing is BS....carbs are carbs.  I followed that during my journey to goal.

Processed fiber = carbs. Where is this fiber coming from? While our bodies are unable to absorb the calories from some types of fiber, that is not necessarily the case for all types of fiber, so you are better off not using net carbs. In any case the type of fiber that our bodies can't entirely digest is going to come from whole food sources, not any kind of processed fiber source. Bottom line, it is not a good idea to apply net carbs to protein bars.

Net carbs is a trap. A lot of people like the concept, because it allows them to eat more carbs.

A lot of food labels play fast and loose with net carbs to make the product more appealing and seem healthier. Most of them use a prebiotic fiber, usually an oligosaccharide, that they say is fiber, but it actually causes bood sugar spikes in diabetics -- something that undigested fiber could never do.

Do yourself a favor and skip the net carbs trap.

This bars not only taste nasty to me...but they raised my BS proving to me once again that my body digest the so called "fiber" into simple sugars..

Some people can digest the fibers - because of their gut flora..other s- don't.. so if you decide to try they - make sure your body doesn't digest them....

I never can count just the "net fibers"
