4 days post op! How to get 800 calories a day I'm struggling

Congrats on coming through your surgery okay!
You're only four days post-op. You have to work your way up to water and protein goals as you heal. The more important thing for you to concentrate on right now is water. Keep working hard at increasing your liquid intake. Your biggest threat in the next six weeks is dehydration, which can sneak up on you and land you in the ER faster than you can say, "But I'm not thirsty."
Your protein shakes count as liquid intake, BTW. Don't sweat the protein. It will increase as your ability to drink more increases. Good luck! And watch out for dehydration -- it's "da debbil."

I'm four months out, and I'm no where near 800 calories. Recheck your plan.
Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! (Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!
I am about ten weeks out and I didn't worry too much about calories the first few weeks. I focused on liquids. I did protein in a lot of water - I used Nectar syntrex and used 1 scoop for 28 ounces, so I would at least get a both some protein and my liquids in.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
