One week post op
I cannot believe its one week already. I am doing great and had no complications. Needed pain meds only for two days. I am still on clear liquids for one more week then onto full liquids for two weeks. Last night I have strange stomach pain. I was so worried. I kept thinking what is going on inside me. I was worried maybe I drank too much fluid? I followed all orders. I had so much trouble sleeping. This morning I realize what the pain was all about. I started my menstruation. I have such bad cramps now and the flow is so much heavier than usual. I have not had cramps in years. Probably the flow is much heavier from the daily Lovenox injection. My surgeon orders it for 7 days post op. Did anyone notice a change in their menstrual cycles after surgery? Thanks.
Yes, mine got much worse. I went in for an ablation at 8 months post op (April of this year). Unfortunately it failed and I still get bad cramps & periods. Bummer. The surgeon gave me Tramadol for the pain, it helps.

I woke up the day after surgery with the worst menstrual pain and a very heavy flow. It was so bad 5 days later the doctor had me stop the Lovenox injection which was supposed to be for 30 days. As soon as I stopped the injections my period stopped but only to return. I have had my period about a every two weeks since my surgery about 10 weeks ago. Crazy huh?
