Tattoos
I strongly recommend waiting until well after your surgery. The surgery itself is a major injury and your body needs its resources to heal your tummy. I got a large scrape on my ankle about 3 weeks after surgery, and I was worried because it healed so slowly. I think my body was strapped for healing resources and put its energy into the tummy, and let the ankle wait. It was worrisome, but did eventually scab over.
But it makes me think we are better served by not adding any stresses that can be avoided.
best wishes,
Carol

I don't know if a surgery date tattoo is a good idea or not. But a couple of years ago a member had her surgeon's name and FACE tattooed on her arm. That is a bad idea.

Omg that's INSANE!! She/He is out of their mind!! I would never! I would get my date because the date of my surgery would be the date of the beginning of my second life. But I'm gonna wait to make sure that the date of surgery is on the date I have right now!! I would NEVER tattoo my surgeon or his name on me because I can't hardly say his name! I love that he's gonna change my life but I do not love him enough to tattoo is face on me!
I tried copying a picture of my surgeon but the site doesn't allow me to copy pictures!
