I need a new scale
I've had it with my scale. This morning I weighed and it gave me the following:
1 pound loss
2 pounds lost
same weight
4 pounds lost
1 pound GAIN
1 pound lost
It's a nice scale that does the whole body fat % but even that is all over the place. It has new batteries and it's on a hard tile floor. We've had it well over 5 years at least, so it's time for a new scale. One that won't vary so much with each weigh in. I'm weighing myself 3-4 times a morning just to get the same weight result once. That's how I determine what my weight is. I need something more accurate.
So what scale do you have that would be the best and most accurate? I have a garmin vivofit 2, so if there is a scale that works with that like the fitbit has, that's a plus...but not necessary. I just need something reliable that will give me the same, or close to the same, every time I weigh.

The best scale is a balance scale, the kind they have in your doctor's office, but they're pricey and they take up a lot of room. Another minus, which has come back to bite me on the butt, is that if you forget to move the weights back to zero, anyone who sees the scale will see what your latest weight was.
I'm living on my boat for the summer and fall. It's hard to get an accurate weight on a boat that's always rocking, but the EatSmart Precision scale does it as long as the boat isn't rocking too much. It's a standard-type bathroom scale.

My brother gave me a Withings scale for Christmas and it was the best gift ever. It syncs to my iphone and other apps like myfitnesspal and my Jawbone's Up app. However, I think it was around $100...it may have gone down in price now.
Edited to add: I just looked it up, it's $150 at Best Buy:

I've been using a Tanita for the past ten years or so , and it has been very stable and consistent with other scales in my world (gym, doctors' offices, etc.)

That one has more bells and whistles than one really needs, but their cheaper, less feature laden models will use the same mechanics.

I also have an EatSmart scale and it is super accurate. I can bank on the fact that whatever I weigh in the morning (naked after I first get up) will be about 2-3 lbs. less than what my doctor's fancy scale weighs me. And of course I will weigh more with clothes on and when I'm fully hydrated.
Very accurate for a great price!
I love my Aria scale that sincs with me FitBit. I got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It is very accurate and I love seeing the graph that it creates for me to see my weight loss.
