Progress Pics!
Though I'm 3 pounds away from my initial goal of 160 lbs (which will also put me at 160 lbs lost), I am finally feeling like I can see a difference in my appearance. My doctor said he wants to get me closer to 140, so I still have a ways to go. Though my skin has bounced back for the most part, I def need some plastics! The weight is coming off slower than ever, but it's still coming off (which I'm extremely happy about). This surgery was by far the best decision I have made yet in my 25 years.
I see SUCH a huge difference! You look wonderful and are a huge inspiration!! Bravo!!!

Aaaah, you're adorable!! How tall are you?
It's funny that we started at about the same weight, had surgery at about the same time, and my surgeon's goal was 180 :P I'm working on getting closer to your surgeon's goal than mine.

Aweee, thank you! I'm 5'4". Unfortunately all I can think about is plastics! Lol. My surgeon pushes me hard, but he told me it's because he knows I can do it. I guess it's good motivation to lose? As unhealthy as this is, I hate disappointing people! Right now it doesn't feel like I'll get to 160, but I know that's in my head!

That is great motivation to lose !!!!
There is one part of this process that is NEVER talked about because it is very rare.
The knowledge, experience, support, guidance, encouragement, availability of a surgeon that understands that his/her role does not stop in the OR and will guide/coach you through the process can be the difference in the big picture.
I could have stopped at 180lbs. but worked closely with my surgeon to my eventual weight. Many/most people stop at a weight that is far short of their potential not knowing what a lower weight feels like which is fine. Claim it and own it if your content, it's ultimately your choice.
I can tell you for sure (for me) experiencing the lower weight has been the best thing. 150 feels many more times better than 180.
You can do it !!!

I think about plastics a lot too. But, realistically, I know it'll need to wait until I've finished college. So it's on the back burner.
You can reach your goal, I'm sure :) The "last 20" seems to always take a ridiculous amount of time, but you'll get there.

You look happy in the photos at your high weight, but we all know it's easy to smile for the camera. Living at a high weight is another matter altogether, one that is generally miserable. I know with your new low weight that you're much happier and healthier. That's even more important than appearance, although I will say you look great.
