Hi. I have a question. My surgery is scheduled for next thurs 9/3/15. My kids and husband are all sick. I feel like I am coming down with it too. My throat hurts and I have a cough. It was difficult to manage the time off work. And this date actually works perfectly with everything. If I am sick, will I have to reschedule my surgery? Thanks for any input.

Call your surgeon's office and see what they say. I think if you have a full blown cold, they won't let you have the surgery. It's important for your safety under general anesthesia. 

Drink a lot of fluids. Pedialite and orange juice, It will help fight off that you may not get sick.

Check with your doctor to see if you can take some Zicam--I've found it can shorten the duration of a cold, so it may help!
