Sip, sip, sip = ouch,ouch,ouch
I had my sleeve surgery 2 days before you and the hardest for me was sipping. But the more you do it the easier it gets. I also got up and walked in the hospital which I think that's why I'm feeling really good. My surgery was on Tuesday and I came home on Wednesday. So keep walking even if it's a little bit, go walk every time you get up to use the restroom or every time they check your vitals . You'll feel better soon
In time.
Try different liquids and different temperatures, that can help!

I just got home now. My nurse is having me drink 1 ounce every 15 minutes and it's miserable. I have tried broth, juice and water. It's all the same. I know that I have to keep up on it but it's miserable.
Did you guys have to put your liquid into a medicine cup or did you just sip off of your water bottle?
Thanks!
I was sleeved a week ago. Day of surgery was ok for sipping, but the next day was REALLY hard. I was so much better by the third day. I sucked on ice, but I think it may have been causing my esophagus to contract. In retrospect, I should have probably taken some pain meds. Anyway, I am a week out and totally okay with drinking. I wish the same for you!
