What the heck is up with nurses giving attitude?? You've just had this major surgery, are in pain, you want to move, and can't...then they just want to pile it on by being ****asses

I'm so sorry to hear that!  I had a similar experience with the day nurse for two days, the night nurses were amazing. I had a terrible reaction to the pain meds and was dizzy and so nauseated that the zofran and reglan they gave me wasn't even touching it. I asked the aide for help out of bed and the nurse told her no, I had to do it myself. I made sure to mention the good and the bad in the survey the hospital sent me.

They will send a survey to you and you also might want to call the nursing manager or nursing supervisor. Explain your situation and what happened and that you want to make sure that it doesn't happen in the future.

There should be a patient advocate on staff I would call them and complain! It can do wonders, they can switch nurses while you are there.

I would not leave the hospital without making it very clear what happened to you.  That is crazy.
