Well im exactly one week post op I'm doing well however I'm not drinking enough water but I am drinking Gatorade so i don't get dehydrated.  I've been doing well I'm having my shakes and I've been eating yogurt too I don't have much pain and my steri stips came off yesterday and im healing wonderfully.  I'm excited to get to the pureed stage I want s ok mr butternut squash soup and I'm really excited to try some new stuff.  I've been wanting avacado too so for some reason i want fresh veggies and fruits.  Excited next week I get weighed for the first time since surgery I'm hoping for a double diget number but not gonna die if it's not.  Hope everyone is doing good.

Glad to hear you're doing well! I bet puréed food will be a nice break from all the liquids. Let us know how your first weigh in goes! Best of luck; Keep up the positive attitude!

Congratulations on the great start!  I am 7 weeks post-op and eating regular foods.... it won't be long for you.  The exciting thing is eating one egg, 1/2 an English muffin with a little jelly or butter for breakfast and be completely stuffed (it just makes me smile everytime, haha).  Getting the water in is always a challenge at times but I try to drink as much as water possible before evening meal so I am not getting up all night going to the bathroom.  My program has me having a snack of 1 cup of skim milk between meals  for additional protein and that does keep me feeling quite satisfied all day between meals.  It's a mind thing with the idea of not eating when you don't need too.  Instead of the old me eating because I really really liked too.  The weight doesn't come off as fast as I thought it would but it does come off.    Enjoy the next month of new things in a new way.....

The drinking was so hard for me after surgery, because I hated drinking before surgery.  Hang in there!  And congrats with your good progress :)

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
