Goal!

In my best hockey announcer voice...GOOOOOAAAALLLLLLl!!!!!I lost 146 pounds from the day I took the first step toward getting here, wow!

I'm incredibly happy I did something I set out to do.  Aside from that its not the big deal I thought it would be.  I have given this a lot of thought and I think its not a big deal because nothing really changes.  This is a way of life now not a diet.  My calories have crept up over the past couple of months (intentionally) but the type of food I eat hasn't.  And even with the calories higher, I still lose weight. I think another 5# would be a nice buffer.....185 sounds way cooler than 190....which sounds way better than 336!

I picked my goal because my lowest weight as an adult was 195 (23 years ago) and I loved how I felt there.  So less than that sounded like a good plan to me.  That damn BMI chart says 170 is the top of the normal range (I'm 5'9" and soon to be 53 years old).   What do you guys think?

Also I would like to say thanks to everyone on here for the inspiration, informtion, and guidance in getting here.  Even the stuff I don't necessarily agree with helped me form my plan and stick to it.

For the new people...track everyhting that goes in your mouth....I will for life.  And processed carbs are more evil than ISIS!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I would suggest you ask your Doctor what he thinks your Weight Goal should be. I had a Goal in mind, but when I talked to my Doctor, her Goal was higher for me that the one I had, so you never know. :-)
