Liquids first week post-op

I'm working on increasing my fluid intake each day. I'm 4 days post-op and I can take in almost 2 11oz shakes and about 35-40oz of fluids total. Am I on the right track?  Should I push myself more?  The shakes are tough to get down and produce some uncomfortable but not unbearable burps so I'm hoping I'm moving along at a good pace. :-)

That seems pretty good!  I'd work to get a bit more, but you're on track :)

You're doing great!  I'd push to get the total liquid above 64oz to avoid dehydration.  Sugar-free popsicles really helped me early on.  Are you getting enough protein?  Protein helps so much with healing, energy, and preventing muscle loss...

Thanks!  Each shake has 35g of protein so it's not where I want to be but I'm hoping at least 70 a day is good for now. :-). I'm going to go get a popsicle now! :D
