One Month Post Op Today
It's been exactly 1 month today since I had the GSV. My highest weight was 234 and I'm a ripe 210. I've lost 24 pounds and I feel great! The main reason I had the surgery is for health reasons. I had High Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnea and was a borderline diabetic. I happy to report that I no longer use my CPAP machine and my BP has been in the normal range. I see my primary care physician next week and I can't wait to see my blood work results. Small things like crossing your legs, tying your shoes without giving out of breath, seeing my neck, etc is so rewarding!! I sometimes question if this was the right decision because it's not easy and I absolutely, positively did! I wish I would have did it sooner.
Congratulations! Keep up your great work.

Funny you should ask. No I didn't have another sleep study. I've been known in my house to run people out of a room with my snoring. I believe I could wake up an entire city with my snoring. Well I fell asleep one night last week with my bedroom door open (which I normally don't do) without my CPAP machine one and they next day my kids told me they didn't hear one peep out of me. My boyfriend also said the same thing. He didn't hear me snoring anymore in the middle of the night. Whereas previously he would sleep on the sofa if I didn't wear the CPAP machine.
