(venting) 1 year and a month post op stall
Haven't lost any weight in the last two weeks. I feel like my food has been on track and my exercise too. July was pretty stressful between work and some personal stuff, but i felt like ive kept everything in control. Just frustrated. If anything I could change up my exercise routine. Im not giving up, I've come this far, Just so close to reaching my goal (about 20 more lbs).
Sounds like you've done an amazing job losing 175 lbs so far! But, aside from the personal & work stuff (which can always throw us off) you say you "feel" like your food has been on track. Have you actually been weighing, measuring & recording what you've been eating & drinking? If not, I think if you get back to those basics you'll start seeing a difference. Good luck!
The one thing that sticks out to me is "I feel like my food has been on track." Are you tracking what you're eating? I know that there are times when I feel like I'm eating correctly but then, if I start tracking and really paying attention, I have to realize that I'm really not eating correctly. So you either are on track or you're not with food, if you just "feel like" you're on track, maybe you actually aren't?
Or it could just be a normal sucky stall that you can't do anything to change aside from keeping on keeping on. Fun times :/

To get to my goal (losing the last 15 pounds or so) I had to change things just a bit. I had to tighten up and go a bit more hard core. I upped the water to 100 oz per day. I upped protein to a minimum of 100 grams per day and left my calorie allowance alone. That meant I was getting the same number of calories per day, but in a different ratio. It worked, but it was still a slower loss than what I was used to.
Here's the progression: May 1, 2012 - 184.9 pounds; June 1, 2012 - 178.5; July 1, 2012 - 173; July 19, 2012 - 170 pounds and goal.
I probably would have made it a little sooner, but I did take a detour while on vacation and did not focus on eating as I could have. Over the 6 days of vacation I gained back 3 pounds, but it was gone within two days of being home. I did lose a week of planned eating which I'm sure would have gotten me to goal more quickly.
Ack.... what I wanted to show you though, is that when you don't have much left to lose, it can take a lot longer than you think. It took me more than 11 full weeks to lose that last 15 pounds.
Go hard core. Stick with it. You'll get it done.
