I had thought about posting this earlier, but then I got busy.  I'm surprised no one else posted in the meantime!  

1: frankenshake
2: protein shake, cheese stick
3: grilled chicken thigh, summer pasta salad

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: 60 minutes physical therapy

Fantastic 6 month visit with nutritionist today. She informed me about the new guidelines for consuming liquids. It seems that it is now permissable to drink right before meals but the rule about not drinking with meals or for 30 mins after eating is still in effect. I can also start taking regular vitamins (Yay, no more yucky tasting chewables!) and if I want to try carbonated beverages it's now allright to do so (jury's out on that one). And most importantly, since I've lost more than 60% of my excess weight, my surgery is considered a success. Twenty-five pounds to go before I have a normal bmi and that's my goal.

B- 1 egg, 1 egg white, ham & leftover asparagus made with parmesan cheese omlette

L- 1 cup of hot & sour soup (not real hungry, will have protein shake later)

D- salmon with gumbo veggies made with tomato sauce & seasonings

S- tbd

Strange that that's a new guideline when it's what I've read on OH since I got here. Glad your NUT updated her advice!

I imagine that the 30-minute pre-meal water ban is going to go the way of the dodo. During my pre-op research, I read a WL surgeon's opinion that there should be no water restriction before meals, only after. He explained tha****er simply runs through the stomach since it doesn't need any digestion. When I eat out I always ask for a big glass of water and drink as much as I can before the dinner arrives. Never had any problems.

You're right about the dodo. And since there aren't any standardized best practices for WLS, I thought it best to follow my dr's program. It was really no big deal, but now I will now enjoy that glass of water or coffee (at breakfast) before my meal as well.

I finally got my lazy bum out of bed and exercised this morning.  It felt really good.  Now I just need to make it a habit.  I struggle with eating too many carbs during PMS time.  I did awful yesterday, but today has been slightly better.

B:shake and yogurt and granola

Snack: chocolate covered almonds (My PMS fail)

L: shredded pork and a couple grilled jalapeno poppers

D: either chicken or leftover carnitas, it depends on if the chicken is defrosted or if the lasagna I took out is defrosted.

W: on track

V: on track

E: 25 minutes on the stationary bike and I'm planning on doing some strength building exercises tonight
