The other side of the store....
I decided to go try on some clothes since everything I have is getting so baggy. I went to my local Cato's where they have really cute plus size stuff.
So I find some items and go to try it on and much to my surprise it was all to big. Even the 16W.
So I had to put it all back and go over to the other side of the store. That was my first time venturing over there. It was a weird feeling lol.
I don't know if it was the shock or what, but I couldn't find a thing I had to have. So I left empty handed but with a new outlook.
I can shop any where I want now.
I my sleeve.
LOL! I did this at Dress Barn once. Picked things up in the "womens" side because I couldn't possibly wear things from the other side which is stupidly named "misses."

This post - and the responses - remind me where I came from. Back in the bad ole days, I had very limited criteria for my decision-making process: does it fit, and does it disguise (as well as could be expected) my rolls of fat. If it looked "good" (again, as good as could be expected in a Size 24 or 26), whatever that meant, I would buy it. I did have some preferences as to style, also based on being obese - no larger prints, no loud colors (I was afraid of looking like a clown!), no girly frills, no ruching or pleats (because extra fabric made me look bigger, I thought).
So when I first went shopping after falling below goal, I was overwhelmed by the rest of the store - so many different areas, and I didn't really have a way to decide on stuff. Everything looked good on me! One of the things that helped me was to focus only on the sale racks. It was kind of a natural limiter in a huge, overwhelming range of selections.
Eventually you'll get comfortable with your body, sense of style, budget, and the best places (for you) to shop. Have fun! :-)
This is my problem.... I am hippy
I have always been shaped like a coke bottle no matter how big or small I get. The 16W have more room and the misses 16 are still a little tight in the rear end. If I go up to an 18 it is to big in the waist. So now I just have to wait a little longer to buy anything.
I need to find a brand for curvy girls that won't break the bank.
Any suggestions??
