good afternoon everyone
Well im 3 days post op and trying to feel normal but I just can't seem to get there. I'm not hungry and I'm feeling like I should be drinking way more I'm starting to realize I'm gonna start to feel better and better but I really need to pick up some soups I need somthing with flavor. I'm having ugly dreams i think it's the pain drugs. I'm so lonely no one around and im feeling very alone. I honestly can say it's probably for the best.

You just had major surgery so of course you feel like crap! Focus on getting you fluids in - aim for 64 ounces a day. Relax and heal, walk as much as you can. It gets better.

Ditto what Gwen said. It does get better. Get your fluids in and walk, walk walk. Reach out to friends or family if you are lonely and ask for what you need. i'm sure people want to help but may be trying to respect your space and don't realize you could use the company. Keep coming here too, there's plenty of support.
Good luck. You've got this.

Try and keep yourself busy while you're awake by tracking your fluids, reading, coloring, anything that will keep you occupied. My biggest problem post-op was that I suddenly felt this "oh crap this sucks what have I done" feeling. It gets better after a few days, especially once you get to have different things like soups. Keep walking! It really does help you ha faster!
Don't worry, you'll get there! I'm a day ahead of you and this is the first day I've felt pretty normal. I've finally found a comfy sleeping position with a nest of pillows and I feel like that's made a huge difference. I'm taking laps around the house and working on increasing my water and protein and it is making a difference, I promise! I'm trying either potato or chicken enchilada soup tomorrow, light of course. I'll let you know how it goes. :-)
Hello, don't be lonely. I was thinking about you. I live in Novi (a couple of hours away from you). I went on a solo mini vacation to Ludington. (My husband went away with his buddy to see some car races down in Ohio.) When I drove past Grand Rapids, I thought, I'll stop in and see you. Then I thought, that would be wierd. On the way home today, I wondered how you were feeling. I see on a post written later that you are feeling better. Take care, everyday gets better.
