Finally home!
Had my VSG done Tuesday morning. Surgery went well and I was feeling great until the anesthesia really wore off and the narcotics kicked in. I learned an important lesson, narcotics and I do not get along. I had horrible nausea. It was absolutely unbearable. I wanted to get up and walk right away. Every time I got up to walk I'd have that awful feeling along with dizziness and I'd vomit, so not fun!!! It all earned me an extra day in the hospital. (Which honestly worked out well since my daughter picked up a stomach virus, oh joy!)
After the narcotics left my system I felt like a new woman and I was zooming around the ward. I was released this afternoon and after a bumpy ride home I'm settled in and trying to find a comfy position to sleep in. Been sipping my water and even managed to get down half a shake. All in all I'm very happy with how everything turned out. I'm ready to heal and keep moving!!
Welcome home
