Pre op vitamins On liquid diet plz help

Hey I was just wondering I start my full liquid diet tomorrow I have surgery in seven days. Am I still supposed to take my B12 and B1 vitamins during my liquid and clear liquid diet.?

I would call your surgeons office to be sure but my surgeon wants me to take my vitamins up until the day before surgery, then stop everything after 9pm since I have a 7am surgery scheduled. I would call them in the morning just to ask. If you miss one day it's not going to hurt you :) Good Luck! I think we have the same surgery date 8/20?

Congrats yeah my date is on the 20th as well. yeah that's a good idea I'll probably just call them in the morning just to make sure but I believe what you said is correct

The point of the pre-op diet is to reduce fat around your liver.  The vitamins have no effect on that. I don't see any reason why you couldn't take vitamins.  

Call your surgeon to be sure.
