To get through that phase of my post op life, I spent a lot of time researching recipes for the "mushy" food stage. (pureed foods, soft solids, etc...) I found this site a lot of fun to browse. The ricotta bake was a favorite!

I was so sick of liquids! Pureed Day was the best day of my post-op life :D You'll get there and it will be so worth it.

I did the same think Kairk did - I spent an inordinate amount of time researching and compiling recipes for the mushy and soft foods stages. Someone in my surgery group said she bought a big bag of crushed ice from Sonic drive thru and sucked/chewed on it to get herself through the 'chew cravings' stage. I never did that, but thought it was a clever idea.
