Wish me luck with gallbladder appt - nervous wreck

Arrived at the hospital at noon yesterday. Went into the OR at five, done surgery at seven.  I'm still in the hospital. They decided to keep me overnight because it was so late by the time they finished. 

Gallbladder was apparently a lot worse than they thought. Surgeon  was surprised it wasn't causing me more pain. 

Pain management has left an awful lot to be desired. Last night was, frankly, miserable. One of the nurses today confirmed my suspicion that I wasn't getting the pain medication that was prescribed to me, for some reason. I've also been given much lower and less frequent doses than I got with the VSG plus no PCA (which I gather is normal for this surgery but I was still bummed). Also I can't pee and so they are keeping me until I can.
