Hello to all!

Hi. I'm a person who has finally made up her mind. I'm going to have the gastric sleeve. I am planning on doing this in about two years because that's how long it will take to have the money for self pay. I'm planning on working with Dr. Mark Shina. Can anyone give me any information about him and possibly your experiences? I am an RN and I am SO looking forward to having this tool him me to finally get my weight under control for GOOD. I've been overweight my entire life, and right now it's just going up. I'm 46 and do not want to spend the rest of my life this heavy.

Hi and welcome!  I don't know anything about Dr. Shina but thought I would congratulate you on your decision.  I had my surgery in Mexico (self-pay) and am at almost 10 months out.  I could not be happier with my weight loss but I want to lose 32 lbs more.  Good luck to you on your journey!
