1 week is not unusual there is little in there to come out call your surgeon before taking any meds unless it is in your info pack , it is not unusably not to go at first the pain meds slow down you digestive system ,  expect diarrhea, once you start going , liquid in liquid out 

nuke some prune juice in the microwave I got relief within an hour. I had to use it about 5days post op. Good luck.
