Mine is a really important part of my team. Surgery is great for my stomach, but there's still so much work to do on my brain.

I'm starting to find that out, too! I had to see a therapist as part of my insurance requirements but she was more interested in telling me why I shouldn't be having the surgery than she was in listening to why I think I have such a problem with food. It's excellent advice and I appreciate you suggesting it! I've spent a lot of years just thinking I was weak and lazy but I'm learning it is not all about willpower!
I'm reading a fascinating book called "the end of overeating" by David Kessler. And it's definitely not so simple as being just about willpower. It's very interesting!

I want to second Gwen's excellent advice. As you are learning, you have an unhealthy relationship with food -- and as much as we hope WLS will help this, it does not. Set up a support system now -- so that you are sure to take advantage of your precious honeymoon period.
