"Learning" how to run in Jersey

I mentioned to my mother that I was signing up for 6 classes to learn how to run, and she asked why I would have to learn how to run, you just run. I responded that it is actually a training program for a 5K, and I do not want to look stupid running. For $60 for one person or $100 for two people, there are 6 sessions. She does not understand, but she was never obese.

Back in the day, I used to run and I think this looks brilliant as something to get you started! But, I don't think you ever look "stupid" taking care of yourself. I bet you feel amazing by the end of the 6 weeks.

Don't underestimate me, I can look very stupid taking care of myself.
You may actually need to learn to run believe it or not. It's not all about following a prog. ram that takes you from counth to 5k (or whatever).
What you need to learn is form running. Google "chi running" and get their book. It'll explain everything you need to learn to run longer, with less effort, and avoid injuries.
I recommend getting (and watching) the DVD first though. That'll get you into the game, then the book will bring it home.
