Colonoscopy 6 months after VSG Surgery?

I have a routine Colonoscopy scheduled for this Friday. It just occurred to me to wonder if the cleansing diet I have to be on tomorrow in preparation for the procedure will be harmful to my tiny stomach. That is, the "stuff" I have to drink to cleanse my bowels...will that be a problem for my stomach? Has anyone here had a Colonoscopy a few months after VSG who can fill me in on this? (I did mention to the Colonoscopy Dr that I had WLS earlier in the year, but didn't think to ask him if it would be a problem). Thanks. :-)

I have been through several post op. It was a total non-issue. I do always make sure to mention that I had a partial gastrectomy to the anesthesiologist prior to the procedure, and the docs as they prescribe the cleansing portion. I was told to take a lot of laxitives and wa**** down with gaterade. I used powerade zero to avoid the caloires without issue. The color you select matters- no red! Stick with yellow or green.

I had a colonoscopy about one year after my VSG.  Since fluid goes straight through your pyloric valve, you shouldn't have an issue.  They have greatly improved the cleansing process since my first colonoscopy back in 2007.  I would call the office where you're having it done, explain to them that you've had WLS and ask for the least invasive cleansing prep.
