surgery in mexico

im having my surgery in juarez mexico. not sure when yet, hopefully end of sept or october. since the dr is ina  different country, what type of dr. if any specical dr. should i find here in the states to help monitor after surgery? will my pcp do just fine or is there a specialist?

See if you can find a Bariatric Surgeon that will help you with follow up. Most are hesitate to do so if they didn't do the surgery but it's worth a try.  Use our Find a Bariatric Surgeon tool in the upper right hand corner.

If you go with a PCP, make sure they are experienced with WLS.  Also try calling local hospitals and check with their WLS departments for suggestions also.

who did your surgery? where did you go? any complications? how were they w/ pain management? what did you use as far as translator?
