Sesame and chili oils go great with chicken.
Both are very concentrated with flavor, and a little goes a long way.
I use ground chicken alot..... waaaay better than ground turkey.
Here is my Chinese Chicken Salad with sesame oil.

Hey Diane !
Hope you and the hubs are doing well up north !
My shop in Berkeley is a just a few blocks away from the greatest grocery store on earth....The Berkeley Bowl.
Huge produce section(s) and a real butcher shop and several ethnic sections.
I'm at this store 1-2 times a day, walking or bicycle or a scooter for small quantity daily shopping.
Daily shopping is something that I have adopted to post VSG. It is very popular in Europe and Asia and was brought up at support group when I was early out.
Sure, I still have stuff that goes bad because I have to buy something by the bag/package and not by weight or each, but for the most part very little.
I know everyone dosen't have that option, but it was my choice to park myself near the food supply I need to sustain.

Thanks for the info. I too find myself at a grocery store every couple of days instead of the big blow out trip to the discount grocery every two weeks to stock up on mac and cheese and such. We too are lucky to have coop and organic options fairly close. And a local natural foods store is putting in a second store only a mile away.
Yeah I think most of the rest of the world shops daily. Its nice to come home with one little reusable bag instead of so much stuff that you need a fork lift to unload it. Also works well for a small family like us. Cheers! Diane

I'm so glad you're not one of those sleevers who think vegetables are not worth including in their diet! Looks delicious. Like some of the posters above, I also shop 2-3 times a week to make sure everything is top-notch fresh.

That looks amazing. I can't wait until we move into our new place so I can really cook again. Since we are still at our son's place, and he lacks kitchen equipment, things have been a bit boring. However, I will no longer have to drive an hour to get to a Trader Joe's or Sprouts. I will also now have access to Natural Grocers and Whole Foods. That is going to be great. Three of them are really close to the rink I have been using since we got to CO.
