partner suddenly asking questions

Wow my boyfriend that I've been with for 15 years has suddenly asked me to draw him a picture of what surgery I'm having and then asked me do draw the surgery his daughter had several years ago and has not lost all her weight she had lap band.  I explained to him and told him lap band has maintenance that needs to be done and without the fill you stop losing weight where with the sleeve you don't have to do fills ans such I also explained that there is going to be a huge change in what I can eat for a very long time.  I assured him I've educated myself and know it's not going to be easy but it's what I have to do for me.  I think he is on board now 21 days until my surgery!

Lapbands have a 60% failure rate so they are pretty useless and temporary. The VSG is permanent and helps with hunger as well as having a smaller stomach!

Some men are more visual. My husband didn't come fully on board till we went to the preop appointment and watched the surgeon draw and explain the sleeve and process on the erase board......oh and I explained everything plus he watched me battle with the band for six years. I am with you, he just wanted me to remove the band not get the sleeve until he went to preop appointment, I even had to get financing on my own... you can only do it for you!!!
