My bad Pete- I thought you were putting down 4,000 cals. Didn't mean to misportray your process there. Hey, heading out to Montreal/Quebec City here in a few weeks, and for some reason I think you might be from that neck of the woods. I will have a protein shake in your honor once there!

heh yes, I'm currently on 4000+ calories a day.  but it's summer (more cardio) and I'm on that muscle-bulking thing (because muscles make me happy!).

I live in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, about 1 hr SE of Montreal (middle of nowhere basically!).  Hope you have a fabulous trip, nice area and best time of year to visit!  And hey, if you need to stock up on that protein shake or want some Quest bars, Popeye's is the place to go!  hard to find anywhere else http://www.popeyesquebec.com/

I am just over 3 months out, I get in around 1000 - 1200 cal a day and try to get at least 60 grams of protein and 50 grams of carbohydrates.  My carbs come from beans and fruit.  The only exercise I do is weekend bike rides with the occasional strength training during the week.  I have not been serious about working out because my weight loss has been consistent and fast without out it. Maybe that's the wrong approach but it's the truth.

I'm a little.more than 1 month post-op.  I use MFP and weigh.my food.  I am doing about 650 calories a day, with about 85 grams of protein.  I am sooooo NOT hungry.  I fill up with very little food and don't feel hungry between meals/snacks.

I had the 3 week stall which lasted about a week, then started dropping again.  I've lost a whopping 28 lbs since my surgery on June 19.  Unbelievable.  I am sure my losing will slow down, but I plan on maintaining this low caloric intake until I hit my goal.

You're going to do great.  Follow your team's advice, work the plan, and it will work for you.
