I will be two weeks out from my lap band revision and hernia repair on Wednesday and are doing fine with the exception of nausea from my vitamins and tired of full liquids lol.

Now two things are happening that seem funny to me........ I am premenopausal and prior to surgery had hot flashes and night sweats now NONE, not that I am complaining but I think it is strange unless it is the diet?

Second my nose runs a lot and normally it doesn't do that anyone else....strange?

Loving the sleeve lifestyle so far, I feel so much better than when I had the band!!!! Thanks for every ones support through this!!!

hormones are screwed up because of the hormones stored in your fat being released , be careful you can get pregnant , also periods get strange (2-3 a month , none, nonstop ect)

running nose usually means your full

The nose running is very normal.  I am almost 5 months out (wow time flies) and nose still runs.  It is my signal not to try to push any more food in cause the tiny tummy is full.  It happens to many many of us sleevers.  Welcome to the normal side.  Well, as close to normal as we can get.  lol.. I love love love my sleeve life.  It is one of the best decisions that I have ever made.  No regrets other than not taking pictures from the get go.

LOL  funny you mention that.  I too had hot flashed until after surgery.  Yes to the nose running and I also got the hiccups alot after surgery.   Very strange but manageable effects.

Maybe it is the estrogen that is released from inflated fat cells - hormones.  I am glad  the night sweats and flashes are gone and that you are liking your sleeve.

Best,

Layla
