How far apart did your doctor set your surgery date?

Hello everybody, I'm new and excited to be a part of a forum, I've never been in a forum really. Well my question is the day your doctor gave you a surgery date how far was it? a few weeks? a month? some people that I know that had the surgery told me about 2 weeks, I think i want to know so I can be more mentally prepared, I have searched but haven't found anything, I mean it's not super important and I know everybody is different, but Im just curious. Thanks!!!

I was given two weeks but pushed it out a month as it was scheduled during a long planned vacation.

My insurance would only let me go to one hospital andu surgeon is only there every other Wednesday so mine was about 1month out from after I was approved by my insurance.

Once I was approved by insurance, my surgeon's office told me to expect a date in the 1-2 month range.  There was a cancellation, so my surgery is this Tuesday, which will be 3.5 weeks from when I was approved.

I had surgery 2 weeks after insurance was approved.

Thanks everyone for their reply!, I forgot I had posted lol sorry. Mine gave me 3 weeks due to some paperwork but my surgery is next monday =)
