How May Grams of Carbs?
Some people are more sensitive to carbs than others. I have to keep my carbs very low, or I start craving food. So while in weight loss I tried to keep it under 25 grams per day. I upped it in maintenance but I've developed cravings again, and I've cut back to 25 g/day again.
What I'd suggest is taking your cabs very low, so that all your carbs are coming from dairy and low carb veggies. Then you can try increasing them to see what you can tolerate before you trigger the food cravings. When you trigger the cravings, you know what your limit is.

Back in the day (Hahahaha) there was a tried and true formula that worked for many. It was this:
80 or more grams of protein per day.
Limit Carbs to 40 or fewer per day
Calorie limit 600-800 per day.
That is the formula I followed during weight loss. It worked very well for me. If you follow that formula you do not need to count fat grams because the fat content falls into place. Along with following that formula you will want to make healthy choices, e.g. lean meats (preferably organic or grass fed when possible), healthy fats (avocado, nuts, grass fed butter, olive oil, etc...) and lots and lots of vegetables (well, as much as any VSG patient can get early out!). Stay away from anything highly process and made from grain.
During weight loss I had a rule: if it came in a box, I didn't eat it.
