I had my consult today and am feeling pretty good about things. While outpatient surgery is an option, I'm planning to stay overnight, which makes me more comfortable... and my surgeon agrees. So I can cross that off my list of things to worry about! He agreed that the sleeve was the best option for me and that my goal weight range was totally doable (150-175). He asked me to think about a non-weight related goal and I told him that I want to do the STP (Seattle to Portland) bike ride next year with my dad & sister!

After we were done, I had my first meeting with the NUT. They don't do a liquid diet pre-op, they do low-carb (

Oh man, it would be awesome if you could do the STP! I'm thinking about doing it next year as well (I have family in Spokane and Portland) if I have enough training time after I have this baby.

My goal was similar, I wanted to ride in El Tour de Tucson after surgery. I had the sleeve in December, and rode the following November with no trouble. You can do it!!
