Made it Home!
Well I made it home!! Am sore after that car ride home. No nausea...yet...but am burping and passing gas regularly...lol.
Did any of you have weird pressure points that hurt? I have two points on my hips that are so sore...it's hard to get comfortable.
Great!
I had lots of weird aches and pains after being in the hospital. It's pretty normal due to being uncomfortable!

Congrats. You will have a rollercoaster for months -- feeling great, feeling icky, repeat. Besides the major surgery, you have and will be eating very little. It all takes a toll, some days more than others. Follow your plan, and before you know it all this little stuff will be a distant memory.

Welcome home! I had a lot of soreness when I got home (double the gas too since I had 2 surgeries). It got better very quickly. Hang in there! xoxo

I got home on Tuesday (VSG was Monday the 6th) and I have weird aches in my shoulders apparently due to the CO2 gas. Walking is the best. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired on my diaphragm that has nerve endings directly connected to my shoulder so that may be why although common, my shoulder pain is worse than my abdominal pain. I hope you're able to get some rest and get some walking in! Good luck!!!!
@E_Saenz sorry If my post was confusing...I actually only had one night in the hospital (Monday night and was discharged on Tuesday) because I was doing well and up and walking same day of surgery. My understanding is that two nights is fairly standard with some bring one night and others being three. Congrats on your date!!!!! Keep in touch!!!
I'm 6 months out and I forgot about all the weird sensations right after surgery until I read this post and the replies. Hope your recovery continues at a rapid pace. (PS - the gas means that something more is coming soon and that it a positive sign that everything is working fine.)
