LOW-FAT 100% WHOLE GRAIN WHEAT CRACKERS
No, not really. They have lost their appeal except on rare occasions. I tend to eat things like cheese wrapped in deli meat now, instead of using a cracker. For a while I used to make cheese crisps. Those were fantastic with tuna or chicken salad, or just on their own as an afternoon snack. Super easy to make, too! Many recipes to choose from online. You can use the search engine here, go to eggface's blog, or google recipes.
Also, if I were going to eat a cracker, I'd eat a full fat cracker. The fat helps slow the carb absorption and thus keeps your insulin reaction at a lower level.
CRACKers are a gateway drug. Taking the fat out doesn't make them even a tiny bit healthier. Just say no.

Crackers...pure poison for me. They really trigger a carb-coaster ride. I wish I was not so sensitive to such. If I could stop with 2-4, but no, it turns me into a grazing maniac and it is like I never can find satisfaction with anything once the nibbles begin. Hummm, part of my MO history.
I envy folks that are able to allow crackers in their program without the urge to indulge in the entire package
I agree. Crackers are like a drug to me. I started adding them in my diet during maintenance a few months ago, and I've been addicted ever since. I went two days without them, and then broke down last night when I had another sleepless night comforted with humus and crackers. I'd say avoid them. They aren't good for the diet.
