How does eating and drinking compare to the lap band?  I NEED to revise.

Thanks!

I should clarify.

With the lapband you are need to chew food ALOT and no drinking after meals for one hour.  Also, no carbonated beverages.

Do you feel less hungry?  I'm reading how a part of your stomach that causes hunger or appetite is removed?

I didn't feel real hunger for at least a year - in fact if I'm honsest with myself I still don't feel real hunger. When I'm deeply involved in something,  I can easily forget to eat and realize I've got to get eating out of the way so I can get back to my stuff.  So I'm realizing bordom is by biggest hurdle.

The drinking rules are similar - stay away from fluids 30 min after eating - not enough room in that lovely sleeve for all that volume.

...as for chewing not an issue after a number of months but just a good habit to develop since all our tastebuds are in our mouths so might as well enjoy flavors to the fullest.  I can gulp lots of cold water now - a real pleasure on a hot summer day.
