Question about Pre-OP diet and Splenda
I used Splenda and other sugar-free sweeteners and flavorings post op. Helped me feel like I had some variety from plain water (which hurt my sleeve). BUT BE WARNED. Some of those (esp. the water enhancers) can cause awful, AWFUL gas. Just saying... Proceed with caution (and an evening at home!).

Yeah, me and some sugar alcohols don't mix. I tried a whole bag of sf gummy bears a few months ago.. Big mistake!
+1 on the ez sweets -- just be careful how much you use. It is concentrated!
One thing to keep in mind is that nearly all the protein shakes you can buy are sweetened with sucralose. Premier Protein, Atkins, Syntrax, Muscle Milk, Unjury, and so on.
OP -- nice to see a Michigander -- I grew up downriver and worked at Harper many eons ago. Been gone quite a long time but it's still home!

Today's pre-test for surgery was boring.. it was just a blood type test LOL!
I didn't need a 2nd EKG or anything.. Have to leave the house about 3:30 A.M. Monday morning for surgery.
