Check with your surgeon, once I was off the ppi I was good to go. Luv my coffee! I really like Chike too, it's protein coffee that I buy off of Amazon, so good! Hope you can drink coffee again soon, maybe you have to wait till you're further out.

If you haven't tried it, totoally give it a whirl. Hands down my favorite protein shake. Makes a great frappacino without the guilt!

I waited till I was about 3 months out.  You just need to avoid it at first because it causes acid.  Eventually your surgeon should clear you for caffeine.  Just make sure you be careful what you put in your coffee.  Not logging the creamer/sugar/milk in your food journal is a mistake I made when I reintroduced coffee.  Now, I stick with SF creamer (1 tablespoon) and a packet of Truvia or Stevia.

That whole coffee thing is a fad. Before you know it, no one will even remember what it was.

When the coffee fad is over, I'm going retro!

My program let me have coffee a few weeks after surgery.  They preferred decaf, but they said I could have caffeinated coffee as long as I was getting plenty of water.  So I'd say at 7 weeks out, you could try it, and see how it feels.

Best wishes,

Carol
