I know exactly what you mean. I bought a pair of jeans yesterday (the first in a LONG time), and I originally selected a 16 hoping it would fit. They were huge. I needed a 12. A TWELVE!!!!! I know I look great, but I am still not able to see my body entirely realistically. Therapy definitely helps! So can journaling or just talking to a friend (or coming here). Write down all the things that reflect who you are and what's important to you. Then try to focus on the things that make you you.
