Question for the ladies and Update! (long post w/ pic)
Am I the only woman with this odd pattern?
I always lose weight right before my period. I'm talking for like 3 days I'll lose 1-2 lbs PER DAY and then my period will come the next and the weight loss stops. What's odd is that after it's over I'll fluctuate up a few lbs and then for the rest of the month I struggle to take it off but it doesn't until I hit my next period. Then I'll lose the couple pounds that I fluctuated plus 2-3 more. It's SO weird because normally you gain a few lbs right before your period due to the water retention and my body is all of a sudden doing the exact opposite. Does anyone else see this happening to them?
On another note, my 1 year surgiversary is at the end of the month and my appointment with my surgeon is on the 23rd. I'm currently at 190 lbs and his goal for me at 1 year was 180. So... I don't think I'm going to make that. But at least I'll be close. I am OFFICIALLY in the OVERWEIGHT category of my BMI!!!! HOOOOORAYYYY!!! It's funny because my goal weight for myself is 175 which is still technically overweight but I don't know why but for some reason I can't see myself getting down to 160. I feel like I'm closing in on where I should be. Everyone thinks if I lose 30 more lbs I'll be "too skinny."
I got a new job :) Technically it's at the place I left 7 months ago but they called me and offered me an AMAZING opportunity that I couldn't pass up so I went back. Since I left there 7 months ago I lost about 50 lbs. I lost 80 before I left but you know how it is.. the smaller you are when you lose weight the more noticeable it is. I've gotten an overwhelming number of compliments. It seems like every day last week I would get 5-6 people approaching me to congratulate me. It's such an amazing feeling but also a bit much at times. People really do get nosy about weight loss. I've been faced with questions such as, "how much have you lost?" "Are you still going?" "How did you lose it?" "How long did it take you?"

My weight loss has been very similar. Always best/biggest losses were in the week before my period. The next 3 weeks were trying to maintain that loss. Very stair-step type of losing. Once I realised that how my body worked I tried to capitalise on that big week each month. Not that I didn't lose other weeks but it was minimal. Glad to hear its happening to others, too.

I have been similar in my pattern so far. I lose before and during my period. After I stop I go 8 to 10 days with no loss and then it starts again. Strange.

As for the period. AAAARRRRGGGG! Mine is coming up and I just blogged about my frsutration with this. My weight always stalls before and during my period, then the last day i will have a big loss day where my body gives up all the water its holding and I lose about 3 pounds. Whats frustrating right is this.
My surgery date was june 12. But on the 21st I went in for another surgery and got out of the hospital around the 24th. 2 weeks I was in the hospital and on IV bags with tons of sugar and I had not lost a single thing the whole time. my weight was the same the day i went in for my first surgery to the day I came out. i had 1 good week of loss before my weight stalled a few days ago with my impending period. I know this next week will be no loss. By the time my 1 month surgiversary comes up i will have only lost 13 pounds total. 13 pounds when my doc wanted my first month to be 30. :( I feel like I lost an opportunity when the weight loss chances are the highest.
