I had my surgery on 6/23/15, today is the first day I feel "almost normal".  It was  harder than I thought but I know each day it will get better.  At this point I'm taking one day at a time.

Good Luck,

Rita

Hello!  I just had surgery on 6/29/15 and am struggling as well.  I stayed in the hospital for 2 days due to extreme nausea.  Thankfully - no vomiting, but could hardly stomach anything at all.  I was never a water drinker...actually....I was never a big liquids person at all.  If I had 32oz of fluid in a day it was a miracle.  Trying to get 64 oz of water down is an impossible feat for me.  Right now, I get down about 34 oz and that is a real struggle.  I had my first sip of a protein drink this afternoon and it was the best thing I have ever tasted...LOL!  I am hoping that getting some protein in will help with the fatigue as I am tired all the time.  Looking forward to the support from this forum as I know I will surely need it!

Had surgery on 4/27/15.  The first few weeks are HARD.  Thankfully, my husband went through the surgery about a month before me so we are in this together.  I can tell you that it does get better.

I agree, it is hard. It's a lot of work and it doesn't help when we feel weak and tired from the surgery. But each day does get a little easier, and you'll be amazed by the changes in your body and your outlook. Do the best that you can, and take good care of yourself
