You're assuming I've not just tested it with dense protein...................

Eating dense protein is not the same as having an endoscopy.  No matter how many periods you add.

But math is math. Something has to get larger to fit a larger amount of something.

you're just focusing on the fact that I admit I eat bad things now that I am stretched.

I was textbook patient.. and BULLY on here about habits 5 years ago, too.

Are you afraid of having an endoscopy?

I don't have insurance at the moment and am completely self pay.

Endoscopy will visualize what I've already talked about with my doctor in email.....

I know that the first two years that the only thing I could hold in my sleeve was the meat... I had surgery to assist with the decisions... If I still had the restriction to where I could only eat 4-5 ounces.. I would only be eating the meat...

I can hold 10-12 ounces of dense protein. I can eat an 8 ounce steak and not feel full.

If you look at my older posts.. I was just like you two when I first had surgery... repeating what we are supposed to be doing...

But if I could have stopped myself and made good choices exclusively by myself, I wouldn't have had a restrictive surgery.

I know I've stretched. When I email my doc and say I used to eat 4-5 ounces.. and now can do 10-12.. Clearly, I've stretched.. I appreciate the assistance, but if I could do 1000-1200 calories without restriction on my own, I would've never paid 25k for surgery..

Hey Brandi,

Great to see you again and congrats on baby !!!

Thanks for telling your story, some people here think sleeve size doesn't matter and sleeve stretch is not possible.

There is a reason why eventual sleeve capacity ranges greatly, from 3-4oz. to well over 16oz.

Don't worry about the ones that haven't even lost the weight yet, but know what your going through and have all the answers.

Congrats on taking the steps to recognize and react.

Thanks. It's been a while since I've waded thru these waters.....

I may resleeve, but I also may work with Dr. Garth on his new eating theories.... we shall see.

Alvarez has already priced me on a revision.. but it's a matter of having the cash.... there truly is a difference between the 32 and 40 bougie...

Could you only eat 1000 calories and meat only before your surgery?

I now regret posting.. Do you not think I don't know that I'm not making bad decisions? Do you think I was eating Cheezits and stuff the first 3 years? Heck NO. I lived on protein bars and water... that's it... Or a 4 ounce steak......

But without restriction guiding me to the 500-800 calories.. I am struggling. I am struggling hard.

I could have, but I would have been miserable and unsatisfied.  I get that you're struggling, and I'm sorry about that.  A therapist might help you with the bad decision making, and getting an endoscopy will help to figure out if there's actually something wrong with your sleeve.
