Passed my Five-Month Surgiversary! :-)
I was on vacation, without Internet Service, but as of last Friday, June 26, it has been five months ago since I had my VSG Surgery. I have lost 75 pounds, 19.8 Pre-Op and 55.2 Post-Op. FitBit tells me that I have lost 64% of my excess weight. I have 42 more pounds to get to my goal, but only 22 pounds to move from an Overweight BMI to a Normal BMI. :-)
I have been reporting my NSV's as I have been going along, making sure that I put as much emphasis on those as what the scale says. In this fifth month I have noticed a big change in the way my clothes are fitting. At my highest weight, my 3x clothes were too tight. I am still shopping in my closet. The day before we left for our vacation, I tried on 6 pairs of Jeans from my closet, all WAY too big (and all placed into a Donation bag). Yesterday, I tried on 3 outfits from my closet to wear to Church, all too big. At some time in this past month I went down from Full-Figured 1x to Misses XL! I can't believe it. I am even able to wear a pair of Jean Capris that have NO elastic in the waist! Oh my! I mentioned last month my increased stamina, and that is continuing. I could be so much more active on this vacation then ever before.
My weight loss may be less and less with each month, but I am feeling so good, and life is great
I am so very thankful I had this Surgery!
Kay :-)

i just experienced this, too, where the scale hasn't moved as much as i'd like, but my clothes suddenly are swimming on me. i am getting clothes from gwynnie bee (which i highly recommend for our kind!) and i've gone from a 24 pre-op to 18's lately, and suddenly 14's are too big! how thrilling. i may be able to shop in "regular" stores now! :)
