Phase1 Plastics Completed (after 310 pound weightloss )
I am two weeks post-op from my Phase 1 (eventually there will be 3 phases) plastic surgery. I had my surgery with Dr. Myckatyn in St. Louis. This phase, I had an upper body lift (breast auto augmentation, skin removal from sides and upper back). Lower body lift (panniculectomy, abdominalplasty, mons lift, etc...) and anterior/interior liposuction of thighs. I came out of surgery with 8 JP Drains and four compression garments (upper body, lower body and both legs).
They removed over 2 liters of fat from my thighs (debulking for future thighplasty). The skin they removed from my stomach area was over 12 inches in height and over 4 feet in length. The skin from my stomach area weighed 13 pounds!
Overall, I am feeling pretty good. I was able to start managing pain with just Tylenol 5 days post surgery. Though swollen, I look GREAT!!!

Congratulations! I've wondered how you were doing - you were/are such an inspiration while I was in the weight loss phase, especially the part about 100% compliance 100% of the time. So impressive! I'm thrilled that you're doing so well, and I'll bet you're excited to finally emerge with your very well-deserved and hard-earned healthy and slender body. You rock!! :)
Thank you. I continue to stay true to my VSG lifestyle (which means I have yet to eat anything that is not going to keep me successful in Maintenance....no candy, cookies, cakes, potatoes, rice, bread etc...)
I ♡♡♡♡ my sleeve and the healthy life I now live.

Congratulations on your plastics. It sounds like you had a huge amount of work done. I'm so pleased that you are doing well. I had abdominoplasty a few months ago, and I am so happy with the results. Its amazing how good it feels to be rid of the excess skin. I'm sure you'll feel the same. I'm happy for you.
best wishes,
Carol

Carol,
Yes, I did have a lot of work done. My first surgery was scheduled to take 9-10 hours.
I will have phase 2 done in 9-12 months (they need my body to be fully recovered from phase1.) They will do the thighs, I have a ton of extra skin on my thighs, even more so since they debulked them using Lipo. They will also remove the extra skin on my arms, revise my breasts (if needed), etc... It will be pretty extensive as well.
