40 is the new 30! lol!!

So technically I won't be 40 until Tuesday, but I have time tonight to post!! My 39th year was a mix of emotions, I had the worst thing happen to me and the quite possible the best thing happen to me (VSG). Needless to say it has been a roller-coaster. Anyone who is contemplating this surgery and is coming up with excuses don't let them hold you back. I was thrown a curve ball and many obstacles and I'm still rocking this 8 months later. 

To me 40 is a big deal! I thought I'd buy myself a gift....first I bought myself a weedwacker! My coworker made me realize a weekwacker really isn't a fun or sexy gift! lol!! So next I bought myself a watch! That screams 40. I thought I needed one more gift so I FINALLY bought myself a scale! 8 month later and I own scale! Wahoo. I'm about 15 lbs away from my first goal (maybe my last - who knows how I'll feel) and I think its finally time to weight myself weekly!

I have attached two pictures!! The first one is from my girls trip last year to Put In Bay and this years trip! The second is from my 39th birthday and last night celebrating my 40th!! 

I'm hoping 40 brings me luck and many positives! Here is too embracing 40!!!

Age is just a number, I'm 52 and people that know me tell me often this has taken 10 years off my appearance.  So using that math and logic, 40 is the new 30....looks wise anyway.  You must feel so good physically, I know I do.  I walked 5.3 miles today, something I do many weekend days.  Going hiking next weekend....I choose to focus on that, not that I can collect SS in 10 years...YIKES!  Your a very attractive women and I always like reading your posts.  Enjoy your new life.....Oh and I live in Syracuse, so Orange in the color of choice on my end.

Isn't it awesome what we can do physically now?? Look at you with your 5.3 miles!! I did a 5K Saturday morning..........the weather was rainy and horrible, but I still felt amazing after!
