Amazing protein shake

I'm 3 years out so I haven't had a protein shake in about 2 years, but a co-worker was asking what brand I had used.  I told him Syntrax and then helped him look online for it.  They have a new flavor - peanut butter cookie.  PB is a major weakness for me, so I ordered some.  Oh. My. Gosh.   Sooooooo good.  I used 1 c 2% milk + 1 scoop powder.  = 290 calories, 34 G protein, 17 g carbs, 400 mg Calcium.  If you use water instead it would be 150 cal, 23 G protein, 3 g carbs, 80 mg Calcium.

Happy, happy find for me!  😀

I make my shakes with unsweetened almond milk to reduce the calories and carbs, but to still get more flavor than water.

I tried the Peanut Butter Cookie for a while, fell in love with it, but then I got to the point where it was just too sickeningly sweet to tolerate.  Now, maybe once a week, I add 1/2 scoop of it to my regular chocolate powder... just to use up the 5 pound bag I got when I thought I'd love it forever. :/

Gwen - I bought some unsweetened almond milk and made the pb protein shake into ice cream for lunch today.  You are right - just as good with only 30 cal and 3 carbs!  I also added 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (10 cal), which actually cut the sweetness of the protein powder.  Back to basics can be fun and tasty!

Hi, check the protein for almond milk there is very little. Almond milk has other benifits tho.

Yup!  I like that it's fairly nutritionally neutral - but adds nice flavor to my shakes without calories or carbs.
