Close to 2 years out and need help VETS input appreciated
I'm a little over 2 years out, and maintaining at 160. I eat about 1400 to 1500 calories a day in 4 meals of about 300 calories each and a little left over for snacks and splurges.
I found I could up my carbs in maintenance, though I stick to crackers and nuts, still no sweets. I have to be careful but so far so good at not awakening the carb monster.
I eat 4 ounces of protein per meal and a small serving of low carb veggies. I do it by weight, not volume.
My only suggestion is cutting the carbs to see if that helps with the cravings. I suspect your sleeve is fine and you will feel the restriction once you are eating dense proteins first, and avoiding fluids with your meals. Please let me know how it goes.
best wishes,
Carol

My original goal was 180 and I reached that about 12 months post op. I did have a 3 month pre-surgery diet in which I lost 50 pounds, so this helped. When I reached 180, I still had quite a pot belly, so I decided to continue to lose until the belly looked good. I got to 160, and was quite thin, but still had the belly, and I decided to quit there. When I went to the plastic surgeon for abdominoplasty, the surgeon said there wasn't much fat left on my belly. It was all excess skin. (And my post-tummy tuck belly is flat!) So I guess I achieved my goal! That's the long version. I usually just say 18 months! (smile).

I try to avoid all processed food, dairy, gluten, and sugar. When I stick to this my appetite and hormones stay in check and so does my weight.
