You are absolutely right, Laura! Even a month of complacency was pretty concerning to me! I have re-discovered that "moderation" just isn't my strong suit and need to stick with what I know works for now. The time for experimentation is AFTER I get to goal, and maybe won't work even then. My goals are more important than sugar/carbs to me, so I'm ok with that if it is what it is.
