I told a friend today about my scheduled surgery tomorrow and now she wants to come visit this weekend she lives 2 or 3 hours away how do I tell her not to come I just dont think im gonna be up to it My husband was mad I told her to begin with and now I am regretting it I love her but just think its not the time
Tell her that you would definitely like to see her after you're home from surgery, and that you appreciate her understanding.

Blame it on the doctor - tell her that he has said he wants you to resting, no exertion and no visitors for at least 7-10 days. Minimize risk of infection....blah, blah, blah :-)
